Toyota issued a recall Tuesday of 3.8 million vehicles, the company’s largest U.S. recall. It was unclear which models are targeted in the recall.

An earlier report said the government has been warning owners of Toyota and Lexus vehicles about safety problems tied to removable floor mats.

They say the mats could interfere with the vehicle’s accelerator and cause a crash.

The Transportation Department says owners should take out the floor mats on the driver’s side and not replace them.

Toyota did not immediately comment on the warning.

The consumer alert affects…

2007-2010 model year Toyota Camry

2005-2010 Toyota Avalon

2004-2009 Toyota Prius

2005-2010 Tacoma

2007-2010 Toyota Tundra

2007-2010 Lexus ES350

2006-2010 Lexus IS250 and IS350

The first teaser trailer for the remake of Wes Craven’s 1984 horror classic, A Nightmare on Elm Street, was released today, and I have to admit, it doesn’t look terrible. It stars the great Jackie Earle Haley (Little Children, Watchmen) as child-killer Freddy Krueger, and it looks like it keeps some creepiness of the original. Horror movies have sucked for a while now, so I hope this turns out okay. Look, I’m sorry, but little Amish kids in corn and vampires in body glitter aren’t scary no matter how many movies you make about them.
