Rock band OK Go has released an amazing video for their latest single ‘This Too Shall Pass’.
The nearly four minute video features an incredibly intricate setup with a complicated series of maneuvers in a chain reaction — all filmed in a two story warehouse.
Engineered with help from CalTech and MIT, and built by Syyn Labs, the video is bound to snag all kinds of kudos and awards…
Not Your Style began in early 2009. Vocalist Laith Kayyali and bassist Kylan Kegel, having previously played together in Sacramento-area bands, decided to venture out in search of something more.
After searching Craigslist for others sharing the drive and hunger to create energetic pop-rock music, they came across guitarist Chris Karriker. Next, they came upon young drummer Marc Moser, and when Marc brought in guitarist Dave Harris, NYS was complete.
Not Your Style hit the ground running.
After playing together for just six weeks, NYS wrote and recorded their debut EP “…in the Conservatory with the Wrench“ with famed Sacramento producer/engineer Jack Trammell. NYS quickly made a name for themselves with their creative and energetic live shows.
This caught the attention of local radio stations, and within 4 months of being a band, NYS found themselves winners of a huge contest to open for the likes of Judas Priest, Whitesnake, Saliva, and Trapt. Despite the obvious stylistic differences between these hard rock heavyweights and NYS, the boys rocked the stage and wowed the huge crowd. 2009 was an amazing year for NYS.
2010 is quickly turning into an even better year for Not Your Style. Having just released their second EP “It’s Treason Then” armed with huge goals and an amazing fan base, NYS is determined to spread their live shows and energetic Pop-Rock music beyond the Sacramento area.
Do yourself a favor, and check out NYS’ energetic shows and listen to the music that they hope will one day rule the world.

Top 5 Reasons Jeff Keith should be the next singer for Aerosmith
1. Tesla is taking 2010 off – JK could fill in until Steven Tyler gets ‘back in the saddle’
2. JK raspy, gritty vocals are frequently compared to Tyler’s
3. One of JK’s biggest influences and favorite singers ever is Steven Tyler
4. Have you heard JK sing “Seasons of Wither” from Real 2 Reel (disc 2) or “Draw the Line” on the Aerosmith tribute album? Friggin’ Sweet!
5. Cross-exposure to Aerosmith fans has great potential
Top 5 Reasons Jeff Keith should NEVER be the next singer for Aerosmith
1. Gary Cherone will always be the fall guy for the disaster that was Van Halen version 3.0, even though I don’t think it was his fault. Couldn’t bear seeing that happen with JK.
2. I’m afraid Aerosmith wouldn’t want to give him up in 2011
3. JK’s country album would get pushed off again
4. If JK joined Aerosmith for a year, he wouldn’t be available to pop up on stage at Frank Hannon Band or Animal House shows.
5. If he’s touring with Aerosmith, then he’s not touring with Tesla. Unless they were sharing the same bill. Hmmm….
